How we named, branded and designed the logo for a new Wake Boarding Park in Lithuania
The Brief
When Elev8 approached us to help brand their new Wake Boarding company, they knew exactly what their brand wanted to say. They wanted a name and logo that would suit their target audience – a young, stylish and energetic crowd. The company also needed to look smart, professional and sophisticated.
The Result
The Name
We whittled down a long list of potential company names before settling on ‘Elev8.’ ‘Elevate’ is a wake-boarding term meaning ‘to elevate the board’ and our client was particularly excited about the name and its alternative spelling.
The Logo
We styled the letter ‘E’ around the shape of a wakeboarder riding a wave. Then, we chose a lively, fluid typeface to replicate the energy and flow involved in wakeboarding.
We also created a minimal monogram for social media use, and various other applications. Elev8 has subsequently used this to great affect on a variety of apparel and merchandise.
Wondersomethings managed to understand what we are about and helped us to come up with a brand name and created a logo that expresses us perfectly. Was a pleasure working with them, and we are so pleased to have got such a cool logo out of it.
