How we made an Aztec-themed poster for a festival
The Brief
The festival theme for Wonder Fields 2016 was ‘Aztec World.’ The poster needed to be Aztec-inspired while also remaining original to Wonder Fields.
The Result
We started by researching Aztec symbols, and their history in depth. As a result, the final illustration is an amalgamation of various Aztec symbols combined with our own connecting imagery. The totem poles on either side of the poster were designed so that they form one full totem pole when the posters are situated alongside each other.
